Cossino

We purchased Cossino from the Stieglemaier family in Germany in 2002, as a dressage schoolmaster for Vicky. The two were best friends, and Cossino has taught Vicky much about dressage and horsemanship. They competed through USDF Second Level, with scores in the 60's, and at home Cossino taught Vicky many of the elements and movements of dressage through Fourth Level. Cossino retired in February 2007, and enjoyed his retirement until his death in February 2011. He always had full view of "his herd", and 24/7 access to his private pasture. Cossino is a talented, athletic grandson of Cor de la Bryere, and son of Cosinus, Holsteiner Stallion and the 2000 and 2002 Bavarian Stallion of the Year.
Cossino placed 1st of 29 stallions at his 100 Day Stallion Test in Munich, Germany. He was the champion in dressage with a score of 140.15 points. He placed 3rd overall in jumping with a score of 134.22 points. Scores of "9" were given for *Cossino's temperament and constitution, and he earned a perfect "10" for character.
Cossino successfully competed thru Prix St. George (S Level) in Germany. His offspring have proved themselves winners in both jumping and dressage. Even today, you can find first and second generation offspring competing throughout Europe. Learn more about Cossino's European offspring.

*There is a separate stallion, "Cossino B", that is also by Cosinus, out of Graziella. I believe this stallion is also a Bavarian Warmblood (Bayerisches Warmblut). Though very closely related, this not the same stallion as our Cossino.
